UNOX officially celebrated the grand opening of its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Denver, North Carolina this week, welcoming foodservice dealers, manufacturer representatives and company leadership for an immersive, full-day experience inside the new facility.
The $20 million investment, which began production in late 2025, marks the next chapter in UNOX’s long-term commitment to the Charlotte region and signals continued growth across North America.
Guests experienced a series of curated sessions designed to connect product performance with culinary science. Mario Cammarota, UNOX Chief Research Technology Officer, led an in-depth presentation titled “The Science Behind Food,” exploring the physics, chemistry and engineering that define how UNOX ovens perform at the highest level.
The day’s programming also included:
• A live cooking demonstration showcasing UNOX oven capabilities • A guided tour of the manufacturing facility • An official ribbon cutting ceremony • An evening reception at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte
“We’ve been building toward this moment in Charlotte for a long time,” said Derrick Richardson, President of North America. “This facility is a milestone and a platform for everything that comes next. Bringing our partners here to experience that firsthand felt like exactly the right way to open this chapter.”
UNOX Group CEO Nicola Michelon attended the event alongside Richardson, reinforcing the global significance of the facility launch.
“The U.S. facility is a key element of a global strategy bringing UNOX closer to the customers we serve every day,” Michelon said. “We’re invested for the long term. We are building something that will serve the American foodservice industry for years to come.”
UNOX has been growing its presence in the Charlotte region since 2017, building a team of culinary professionals, service specialists and sales experts across North America. The new facility formalizes that commitment, providing a domestic manufacturing footprint aligned with the scale of the company’s North American operations.
With the facility now officially open, UNOX is positioned to:
• Expand production capabilities • Reduce lead times for U.S. customers • Improve service and parts availability • Increase hiring as demand continues to grow
Denver’s proximity to major transportation corridors and access to a skilled regional workforce make the location a strategic foundation for continued expansion.
The North Carolina facility also complements UNOX’s broader global strategy, including the development of Unox City, the company’s state-of-the-art headquarters and innovation center in Padua, Italy.
